Breastfeeding is not instinctual. You need lots of support; nurture yourself with lots of rest and healthful foods. Remember that it might take a little time for you and your baby to adjust to each other.
2

If you have stitches, they will absorb. Tell provider if you have increased pain or discharge, fever or an increase in blood flow that smells bad.
3

40 wks gestation
42 wks from Last Menstrual Period

You may be induced to avoid complications of postmaturity. Good luck!
4

It is normal to experience an emotional let down after the baby, feeling the enormity of the responsibility and wondering if you'll ever be the same again.
5

Take time for yourself every day, continue on a healthy diet, and continue with the fluids and exercise. If you are planning to breastfeed, take time to learn the warning signs.
6

Is it postpartum depression or the blues? If your feelings begin to get in the way of mothering or begin to interfere with your relationship with your partner, consider professional help from a family counselor, clergy member or your health care provider.
7

8

Join an online parenting playgroup to meet others with babies born the same time as your precious little one(s).
